I am a strong advocate for Hoover City School (HCS) district. As a former President of the Hoover Board of Education, I understand that a quality public education impacts every function of the city. To ensure the continued success of our educational system and retain our faculty and staff, it is crucial that our schools receive adequate funding. During my tenure on the Hoover City Council, I supported our Hoover City Schools on the following:

1. Doubled the city's operational funding to the schools, 
2. Provided additional funding for the capital projects 
3. Donated necessary equipment to the Hoover City Schools Riverchase Career Connection Center (RC3) Fire and Emergency Services Academy such as two reserve fire trucks and firefighter gear/equipment 
4. Fully funded fulltime School Resource Officers (SROs) in all 17 K-12 schools to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. 

Furthermore, I am dedicated to coordinating the efforts of hundreds of volunteers for the Hoover City Dad Brigade event. This event is designed to enhance our educational environment through campus projects and ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for our students. Research suggests that when parents engage actively in their children's academic journey, student performance tends to improve.
